NU Elite ipl skin rejuvenation
IPL stands for ‘Intense Pulsed Light’ technology. It is a common cosmetic procedure designed to produce a clear and healthy complexion, there are a variety of specific skin issues that can be solved using IPL such as pigmentation, rosacea and more.
The treatment is carried out by using an intense light from a range of wavelengths to focus on specific parts of your skin that you are treating.
The light helps to promote the production of collagen which will fill out unwanted wrinkles and fine lines or shallow scarring as well as reducing redness, discolouration and spots.
While IPL is a very versatile and effective procedure, it does not produce guaranteed results for all skin types and issues. For instance, IPL is not as effective on very dark skin in comparison to fair, pale complexions.
Our IPL comes with different strength fillers, which are used with different methods so every treatment is adapted and tailored to you.

Treatment Day
Your therapist will consult with you and confirm the details from your consultation form including that there has been no change in your circumstances. If all is well, treatment will continue.
A headband will be applied and your skin will be cleansed with Dermalogica products. Ultrasound jelly will be applied to your facial and neck area and cotton pads will be put on the eye area to protect them from the light, you will also be asked to wear goggles.
Your therapist will determine the correct settings to use. Throughout the treatment you will be put at ease and your therapist will check that the IPL shot is not too strong. It will feel like an elastic band flick to the skin.
After the treatment has been completed, the jelly will be removed from the face and wiped free from any residue. Moisturiser and SPF will be applied to protect your skin.
Aftercare advice will be given and you will be recommended further products for aftercare.
