The Venue Bobby’s in Bournemouth is a new and unique concept when it comes to self- care. The salon is located in the vibrant town centre square, inside the luxurious newly refurbished Bobby’s department store. This stunning and forward thinking store has thought of everything when it comes to the ultimate shopping experience, from skincare to an artistic sushi bar and so much more!
The founder Emily Dillon and Director Caroline Yates saw great potential for somewhere where customers could eat, drink, browse and pamper themselves all under one roof.
The team of skilled therapists provide the best in house experience for their clients and advice on bespoke home care regimes, using award winning skin care ranges Dermalogica and Medik8 to extend the benefits of their treatment long after they have left the salon.
The Venue has thought of everything from ‘pull for prosecco’ bells, stunning pedicure swings, iPads in reception, charging points and so much more.
Meet the team
Salon Director & Founder
Emily has over 11 years’ experience in the beauty industry, her career has taken her as far afield as Australia where she worked with a well-known skincare brand learning from leading skin experts about the science of skin and rejuvenation techniques.
Upon returning to the UK, Emily set up her own business which went from strength to strength and after six years decided to expand into larger premises. The stunning new salon ‘The Venue’ has enabled her to offer a greater range of beauty and skin rejuvenation treatments for her loyal and valued clients. “I am extremely proud of what I and our fantastic team have achieved in the last 5 years of business. We have created a ‘one stop shop’ for everyone’s beauty needs. Whilst we are delighted with our success we are eager to develop our knowledge and skills as a team to ensure that we can offer our clients the very best and innovative treatments at a competitive price”.
Caroline has over 20 years experience in business development, management and investment and is a self motivated business woman and entrepreneur. As a dedicated customer of The Venue Salon in Wallisdown Caroline grew to know Emily, the team and saw an opportunity in how well the business operated.
“I was really impressed by Emily’s passion, drive and success with the Venue beauty Salon.
The whole team are enthusiastic, friendly and clearly enjoy what they do.
Our vision is to create a ‘one stop shop’ for anti-ageing and beauty therapy treatments using the latest technologies. We aim to offer a classic modern environment, making our client’s experience both a comfortable, effective and enjoyable experience.
Jenna has over 11 years’ customer service experience. Her priority is to ensure clients have a wonderful experience at the salon from the minute they walk through the doors. “First impressions are everything and I want to ensure our clients always receive a warm welcome and know they are dealing with someone who can answer any questions they may have about our range of treatments.”
One of Jenna’s main focuses in the salon is marketing. “I like to keep up to date with all the latest marketing ideas, whether that’s on social medial or advertising I think it’s so important to stay current with all the knowledge of what happens behind the scenes.” Jenna always makes sure clients are kept up to date with the latest treatments and special offers and is a ‘whizz’ on social media. “No working day is every the same which is why I love most about my job. From welcoming new clients, catching up with regulars and being part of a fantastic group of ladies. I love watching the girls learn new things and grow as women as the time goes on.”
Since returning from maternity leave last year Jenna has stepped up more into her managerial role at the salon and has recently taken on a bigger role and is now General Manager for all three salons. “I have such a fantastic relationship with all the girls, they make managing them a pleasure. I love having more of a responsibility at the both salons and being involved in everything behind the scenes!”
