What is Face Mapping?
4 Oct 2017
This is one of the most frequent questions we get asked during a Dermalogica Prescriptive Facial. So we thought we’d use this opportunity to explain what Face Mapping is and how it can help you.
Face Mapping is a unique in-depth skin analysis developed by Dermalogica to help skin therapists diagnose specific skin issues. Face Mapping enables us to customise individual treatments to your specific skin concerns.
Your face is divided into 14 zones which are looked at individually for any underlying problems. Skin problems could be caused by the wrong use of skincare products, no products being used at all or possibly even health issues.
The skin problems we can diagnose could include breakouts, dilated capillaries, dry skin, pigmentation, fine lines and redness. During your consultation, your skin therapist will use a skin mapping skin analysis sheet (pictured below) which you will be provided with at the end of your session. The prescription sheet details Dermalogica products which you can use to specifically address your skin concerns, as well as skin treatment options available at the salon.
Because skin cycles change regularly we recommend that you have a face mapping consultation every 4-6 weeks.
The Venue Beauty Salon in Bournemouth is an official Dermalogica stockist, so all the products we recommend are available to purchase at the salon or we can order products specially for you.
We are currently offering a FREE 15 minute face mapping consultations with Emily, Alison, Kayleigh or Sophie. Call us on 01202 566000 to book yours and find out how to get the skin you always wanted.
